Michael presents a show which traces poetry from the present day back to its written beginnings in Anglo-Saxon times. The show is called: 'Tongue, Tone, Tune & Time:
The Heritage and Traditions, Movement and Rhythm, of English Poetry Over 1,000 Years'

This performance unlocks the mystery as to the rhythm of Beowulf, a problem which has been much discussed and much confused by the scholars.

Caedmon Sings is a performance of poetry which harkens back to Caedmon's Song, as set down by Bede in the 8th Century.

Michael also presents a show containing his own poetry and music, influenced by his love of simple living and the land, he calls this show 'Chewing On A Straw: A Countryman's Verses about Birds and Beasts, and God (whatever that may be), and He and She and Such'.
